The Obnoxious Pop combo enjoyed a full-on
summer of festival high-jinks in the UK,
Ireland and Europe. Their well received
debut album 'Fight Like Apes And The Mystery
Of The Golden Medallion' has been released
in Europe, Australia and Japan. The Japanese
release enabled FLA to hook up with top
drawer Tokyo Electro-Ninjas 80KIDZ, resulting
in a radically remixed version of 'Lend
Me Your Face', which will be released
as a download single on Model Citizen
on 7th December.

Fight Like Apes "Get in the Ring

Dec 19th now on sale) FLA round off the year with a
very special gig. Fight Like Apes will
be bringing a wrestling ring into The
Academy for a fight night of body-slamming,
gut-grappling, seconds out, no holds barred
electronic punk rock.
Inspired by their deep love of pro-wrestling,
the three guys and one girl FLA tag-team
will be in performing live on canvas in
the ring, being built in the venue for
this one-off show; complete with special
guests from the world of wrestling.
With the debut album Fight Like Apes
And The Mystery Of The Golden Medallion
now released in the UK, Europe, Japan
and Australia. FLA are currently writing
new material for their second long player,
which will be released in 2010.
Fight Like Apes continue to make waves
in America, with MTV using FLA tracks
in P Diddy's 'Making The Band' and the
forthcoming Halloween mini-series 'Valemont'.
Fight Like Apes are already in training
(watch this space) for this slam-tastic
evening of music and mayhem. Tickets priced

All the tracks are brand new recordings, produced by John
Goodmanson in Seattle earlier this year. Fight Like Apes
singer MayKay says – "It wouldn't have been right
to leave those early songs off the album, but it wouldn't
have been right to put the same recordings on. They were
always rushed jobs before, but this time we had the chance
to make them sound like we always thought they should".
FLA cohort Pockets adds – "We're the same band,
just with a stronger, faster, more unstoppable sound".
The album is available on Digipak CD,
heavyweight vinyl and download. The vinyl version includes
a bonus track – 'You
Are The Hat' which will not be released on any other format.
